After problems with Yamaha trumpet valves on an intermediate trumpet and poor customer service (London flagship branch) we took the opportunity to obtain a used one of these. After a quick repair, ie stuck first slide, we were able to strip it down and give it a meticulous clean to bring it back to new condition.

Not just a beautiful instrument in silver plate, it sparkles, the tone using the included mouthpiece is a delight, mellow and smooth. The valves are solid, smooth and quick after a fresh application of oil. We leave it out on a K&M stand so that it can be picked up at any time and played though a Wallace practice mute. Without the mute it has a beautiful tone.

I've been playing brass on and off since I was 11 (along time ago). I've played tenor horn, Euphonium (which I loved) and owned a very bad trumpet which I sold some time ago, I played up to grade 5. I decided to buy another brass instrument and decided on the flugelhorn, because I love its tone, Having bought this one, it has not disappointed, It came this morning and I have already been mesmerised by its hauntingly beautiful tone.
