The JP361 is reminiscent of the old Alexander horns, with it's 'spider-style' single story change valve, heavy body and broad sound. The inline Bb tuning slide aims to reduce the resistance off of the change valve by reducing the number of turns in the pipe. This horn would be suitable for an adult starter looking to go straight onto a double horn, or as a first double for a progressing student.

Wear & Tear Observations: This instrument is in fair condition, and is 10 - 15 yeas old. This horn has had a valve and slide service with us, and everything moves well.

The horn has a fair amount of cosmetic wear, in particular on the valve slides, the bell flare and the bell rim. There are also some minor dents on the bell flair, mostly on the bell throat.

There is some damage to the stockings where the hand is placed. Where the lacquer has worn away, the brass has taken on a red tarnish, although there is no sign of corrosion. The previous owner has had the mount for the adjustable duckfoot removed.

This horn is supplied in a ProTec fixed bell horn case, with Faxx 2 mouthpiece. It also comes with a selection of beginners music.
