The headjoint and body is made of .925 sterling silver and features open holes. \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe Altus-Bennet scale provides easier playability, better tone quality and better tuning than traditional scales. It features a split E mechanism, which makes high Es easier to play and assists in fine-tuning alternate fingerings. The offset G makes for an ergonomic hand positioning, the proprietary alloy used in the springs are more consistently reliable and less prone to corrosion than most, and they hold their adjustment longer than stainless steel.  Although this flute is approx 15 years old it is in a good condition for its age.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eWear \u0026amp; Tear Observations:\u003c\/strong\u003e This instrument is in very good condition for it's age with only some fine hairline scratches to the headjoint and footjoint.
