The YAH-201 is a popular student model, capable of taking a learner up to around grade 6 standard.

They are easy to play and have good intonation, with a well-centred sound. Yamaha student tenor horns have been designed to incorporate many of the design details of the top model, and shares many of its tonal characteristics.

Wear & Tear Observations: This instrument is in a fair condition. There is moderate lacquer wear around the 1st valve section of the valve block and leadpipe, and on the valve slide. There is some pitting on the 3rd valve slide, and the main bell cure has some small dents and some scratching. There is some moderate scratching on the bell flair. This is a Yamaha Purple Logo instrument, but most of the bell logo itself has worn away.
