A Brilliant Visit from the OHMI Music Team to the JP Showroom

We recently had the pleasure of welcoming the OHMI Music team to the JP showroom, and it turned out to be one of the most inspiring visits we’ve had in a long time.

From the moment Rachel, Faye and Hazel arrived, their warmth and enthusiasm set the tone for the day. They were not only incredibly friendly, but also super knowledgeable about every piece of adaptive equipment they brought with them. At the same time, they were wonderfully open to hearing about the ideas, challenges and experiences the JP team encounters day-to-day, a really refreshing two-way exchange.

Trying Out OHMI’s Adaptive Equipment

A highlight of the visit was getting hands-on with the wide range of adaptive stands and instruments OHMI develops. Having the chance to test them out, see the clever design details up close, and hear Rachel, Faye and Hazel explain the reasoning behind each adaptation gave us all a deeper appreciation of just how thoughtful and practical these solutions are.

There were a lot of light-bulb moments and plenty of “that’s brilliant!” comments around the room.

Learning More About OHMI

Alongside the practical demonstrations, we also had the opportunity to learn more about the broader work OHMI does. Hearing directly from the team about their mission to make music accessible to everyone, along with their competitions, educational initiatives, and ongoing research, was both eye-opening and inspiring.

It’s amazing how much impact one organisation can have when accessibility is placed at the heart of everything they do.

A Visit That Really Stuck With Us

By the end of the visit, the whole JP team felt energised and truly inspired. The day sparked new ideas, great conversations, and a real sense of shared purpose.

We’re incredibly grateful to Rachel, Faye and Hazel for taking the time to visit, share their expertise, and showus the incredible work OHMI is doing. We’ve come away with a deeper understanding of their mission, and we’re excited about future opportunities to collaborate and support their vision.
