Good selection - useful and not overwhelming - and the sling has made a world of difference to my son (and I worry less about him dropping my euphonium)! The price was good, and it arrived quickly. Very impressed.

I’m delighted with this instrument. It arrived promptly and was well packed. Its case is sturdy with a decent size pocket for music etc.. The instrument is well made. It’s heavier than my previous instrument with a heavier grade of metal. The mouthpiece it comes with is fine, although I’m sticking with my usual one. The valves are well engineered and the instrument is in tune. It has a lovely sound, plays well and is beautiful to look at. Excellent value.

I am pleased with the reeds I bought but, I used Apple pay to buy them and there didn’t seem to be a box for the discount code so I couldn’t get my £5 discount offer on the special weekend.🙁
The heart of the three medium soft reeds has almost been scraped away. This makes them unplayable because there is no stability to provide tonal control. I expect these reeds had not been tested.

I'm a retired head of music RNCM graduate, ex army staff band French horn player who joined my local section 3 ( winning!) brass band recently by invite on e flat bass, ( Imagine that transition !) Having bought a second hand jp 4 valve bass this year I had no qualms about getting a jp euphonium. It is good to play, very well in tune top g not sharp 4th line d not flat, lovely tone responsive in all registers. I can get a 4 octave chromatic range relatively easily. Whereas budget French horns are invariably awful, this euphonium is close to its £8000 counterparts for a fraction of the price. Top line players might not like my comments but in my opinion grade 8+ players and music students would be more than happy with this instrument it won't hold you back at all. Full marks JP and customer service exemplary.
A beautiful tenor horn. The quality is wonderful and it sounds so much nicer than the previous horn. The level of customer service we received from JP was superb. Our daughter is extremely happy.

Having tried virtually every other lube, I've found this the best. "Goes off" quite quickly but I find that a daily application with a weekly clean keeps the slide super slick.
Very easy to hire. Clear instructions. Initial problem solved quickly and easily by very helpful and friendly staff. Lovely instrument for beginner bassoonist. Came with everything needed to play straight away. Only issue was I didn't realise that the 1st month hire charge had to be paid alongside the upfront charge.

Great service with post and packaging. The hand support is a little tricky trying to get the plastic sleeves over the bell section brace, also with these being hard plastic, they allow the whole thing to move so you really need to tighten the screws. These sleeves should have been made out of a dry rubber material which would not move, unlike the plastic one's.
