Just the job, had to file the edges down to make them fit, but all good.
Light in weight, compact size and stores away in my backpack easily. And my horn looks great on this stand.
Plays much better than my previous tuba, a Courtois belonging to the band. Should have bought one sooner.Lower register more sonorous, and easier blowing.
Only drawback is the weight, and it won't fit my Gear4music soft tuba gig bag - a small price to pay for a better sound.
Well I wasnt expecting this! In my younger days I'd played in the school orchestra, as well a military and civilian bands playing Tuba, Trombone etc. but in my later days Ive always fancied playing a Sax. Well two weeks ago (2 days before my 70th) my wife put me in her car and took me to an industrial estate in Wellington, I didnt have a clue where we were going until we pulled up in Packers Car Park. Went in and was presented with a brand new Tenor Sax, although I have now changed it for an Alto. She has also arranged for someone to give me lessons, never played a reeded instrument before but Im getting use to it,what do they say...........practice makes perfect.... two weeks in and Im getting the hang of it, lot more keys than a Tuba!!

Great second hand instrument that was honestly described and sold at a good, fair price. It had been serviced before it came to me so that’s something I don’t have to worry about for a little while. It plays perfectly, I love my new for me sax. I’d definitely use John Packer again.
Took a while to arrive but worth the wait. Have bought the R2 Gold . Well made, beautifully finished and comes in a smart zip up pouch. Straight away I found it very comfortable and I'm really enjoying playing on it.

Indispensable, now I have used it. When fitting two clarinets before playing, the reeds, ligatures and even the clarinet parts are safely held. The tray is firm, and the felt cover protects the instrument well.
No complaints about your, more than helpful, service nor the product in any way. My beef is with Royal Mail who sat on the order for so long that I had to collect it from the local sorting office, where it took them ages to find it. Any of the private couriers would have been quicker. Their slowness must be a far bigger problem than it is to me.
always great service with fast delivery! this is where we always get our oboe reeds and they arrive quickly even when my little oboe player has forgotten to tell me he's on his last reed.

Was pleased with the overall terms and conditions, especially when I was sent a brand new sax. The delivery was quite slow, possibly because of customs “red tape “. I had a slight query after delivery and Alice was most helpful.
