A Brief History of Aizen

The Aizen company is based in Kochi Japan. All their mouthpieces are made in a traditional kura storehouse where the temperature and humidity are constant.

Aizen loves the vintage sound and they have spent many years researching, collecting and testing vintage mouthpieces to develop their own.

Unlike other manufacturers, Aizen believes that no machine, however advanced can match the all-round expertise and experience of a genuine craft worker, and consequently every step of the manufacturing process is carried out by hand.
