Flugelhorn mouthpiece JP604

I have been using the cornet equivalent mouthpiece professionally for about a year and decided to try the flugel version. I have found both to be very comfortable with consistently good intonation across the full range of notes with easy upper register. Both cornet and flugel mouthpieces produce a rich dark tone and I prefer them to the Denis Wick equivalent. - Well done JP. Why Pay More?

If you are a professional jazzman or balladeer you'll maybe want to look for a more specialised mp to suit your work. If you are a 'general' player or are just starting out with a flugel then this mp is ideal. I have two Denis Wick mp's and if you put this with them you would be hard pressed to tell the difference without reading the script. It plays easily and cleanly with a crisp brightish sound in the upper notes and a trace of the flugel throatiness lower down. I havn't had it long so can't comment on the longevity of the plating but I cannot fault it at the moment so, why pay more? Thoroughly recommended.
