JP133LR - Large Bore Bb/ F Tenor Trombone

As a tuba player I have not been at all familiar with trombones. A right hand problem has forced me to consider an instrument with no valves. Hence my search for a trombone.
I have been using quality instruments for years and was slightly dubious about considering something in a cheaper price bracket.
Well my fears were blown away. Having had a lot of chat with Packers who were very helpful I went ahead and paid the princely sum of £461 with free delivery to Northern Ireland. The instrument arrived in two days, very impressive.
Well I’m over the moon about this instrument. It comes in a superb case, the only criticism being the large side pocket is a bit small for A4 music.
The instrument is beautifully and solidly manufactured with a gorgeous rose brass bell. I love the sound and ease of playing and would thoroughly recommend this trombone. Apart from the low price it is a gorgeous piece of engineering and I thoroughly recommend it.
Also Packers were very easy to deal with.
Thank you
A footnote - The JP278 BBb tuba I bought recently is a great success too
Well done

JP133LR - great first impresson and easy sound.

As a tuba player who wants to learn to play trombone I decided to buy JP133LR. After buy on johnpacker.co.uk I received it faster than expected. Package was appropriate and all items came in ideal condition.

I am writing my opinion in a break after playing trombone for first hours. The first day impression is very positive. It is very well balanced so grip is comfortable. Although slide and rotary valve needs some workout for smoother move, the tone and intonation is at surprisingly high level. The tone is full and dark, air flows freely, it sounds natural and JP133LR has very solid and reliable sound. Despite this is my first trombone I did not have big intonation issues when playing scales.

Overall after first day I am very satisfied with my purchase and have no doubts about reliability of this trombone. Thank you johnpacker.co.uk for being there and giving opportunity get good brass for reasonable price.
