Fantastic Oil

I play an oldish tuba and the usual brands of oil are on the thin side. My valves often need oiling pretty much every other day with the thin stuff. At a concert recently, I once again needed to oil a valve between songs and had to ask my fellow tubal player if she had any. I'd left my oil in my bag in another room. She presented me with what I now know to be La Tromba. It became obvious after a few days that this oil was far superior to the one I had been using. She said that thicker oils are better for older instruments and what a difference it has made.
