This Imperial Cornet was the top-of-the-line model when it was new, and is built like a tank!
Still the inspiration for many of the high end cornets used today, the Imperial is the standard for a player looking for a traditional British cornet sound.
Wear & Tear Observations: For it's age, this cornet is in very good condition. The slides and valves move well, and the valve block has good compression, with no signs of any leaking.
The frosted silver finish is good throughout, besides some wear on the 2nd valve slide, and 1 pit in the 1st valve casing. There are a few minor dinks in the bell throat and some scratching.
The leadpipe is bent slightly at the join with the mouthpiece receiver, but nothing that effects playing or inserting a mouthpieces. The inside of the bell is moderately tarnished.
