Please be aware that our normal warranty/guarantee cover does not apply to this instrument as it has been pre-owned by a client and sold by us on their behalf. However if the item is purchased online, the procedure is covered by our distant selling rules which can be found on the delivery/returns page.
This pre-owned Boosey & Hawkes Imperial Bb/F silverplated trombone is an excellent choice for a player looking to purchase their own instrument, whether moving on from a rental instrument or seeking a reliable trombone to support their continued musical development.
The Imperial was a professional-level instrument in its day and remains sought after by players who appreciate its robust construction, quality brasswork and traditional British craftsmanship. Known for their solid build quality and dependable performance, these trombones have stood the test of time and continue to be a popular choice amongst brass band players.
Although they may not offer the refinements of more modern professional models, such as the Sovereign range, Imperial trombones remain excellent instruments for developing players, brass band musicians and anyone looking for a well-made, reliable trombone at an affordable price.
Wear & Tear Observations: This Imperial B&H Imperial is in a fair condition for its age with no major dents or visable repairs. There are several small creases in the bell flair, most of which are not visable except under close scrutiny, alongside general scratching from use across much of the instrument.
The silver plate has some minor tarnish and large patches of spotting around the bell flare and on the outer slide. This instrument has been checked over by our workshop ready for sale and all slides and valves move freely.
