This reed has changed my oboe playing life! FOR THE BETTER

This reed has changed my oboe playing life! The reed sounds and behaves like cane, but is so stable in its tuning and is impervious to changes in humidity. I soak it in water for thirty seconds before I start my practice or a rehearsal and that’s for the rest of the session. After I’d played it in from new (a couple of hours) I scraped it just a little to get it exactly how I wanted it and I haven’t had to touch it since. It plays brilliantly from bottom B flat to altissimo A flat, and has great dynamic range.! Wow Icant stop grinning. 😀

Worth having one in the box

3.5 really. Very free blowing. Excellent in the middle of the range but less reliable at the extremes.
