The new VK7 synthetic reed is made of a composite material specially developed by Vandoren. It is the result of 7 years of research.
This composite fibre material does not imitate the structure of cane - it reproduces its essential physical characteristics to obtain the same acoustic behaviour.
There are six Vandoren VK7 strengths available for Alto Saxophone. All strengths fall between 1.5-2.5 traditional reed strength.
