• Yamaha have improved their manufacturing over their 35 years of flute making to incorporate hand made techniques which make their flutes reliable and made to a high standard.
• The Type AM solid silver headjoint is based on the Type A headjoints supplied with handmade flutes from the 900 and 800 series. This offers a wider expressive range and additionally offers easier response with excellent balance over the instrument’s entire range, a slightly heavier resistance, and a wide dynamic range.
• A#, F# and other non-fingered keys feature pointed key arms. Found on Yamaha handmade flutes, their beautiful designs are inspired by traditional European styling.
• Straubinger Phoenix™ Pads (700/600 models): Straubinger Phoenix™ Pads offer the same concept as Straubinger™ Pads on Yamaha's Handmade Flutes, and have more design more suited for the 700/600 series. These pads offer a softer touch, but also superior response, wide dynamic range and tolerance of environmental changes same as Straubinger™ Pads.
• Key Design: The keys are hand-assembled and meticulously balanced for a perfect touch. And the key shapes have been so exquisitely designed and ergonomically placed that the flute will almost 'disappear' in your hands. Performances will feel effortlessly natural.
• Heavy Wall Thickness (700/600 models): The thickness of the wall has been increased from 0.38mm to 0.43mm to improve balance for use with the new Type Am headjoint and the 12 Straubinger Phoenix™ Pads.
• A special annealing process delivers a more pure transmission of vibration from the player to the flute for a rich resonance and superior response
