I play in a brass band in East Sussex alongside experienced players with higher end cornets who listen to, and look upon, this beautiful instrument with envy. I bought the lacquered version last year and it really does sound amazing. It gives a lovely, rich, mellow sound, and is relatively free blowing providing easy reach of upper register notes. The valves spring reassuringly quickly, and overall this is simply a brilliant instrument.

Beautiful sounding baritone , super fast delivery. The only fault I had with it was I needed to order new springs for the valves , the quality of those was poor so ordered sovereign springs. Improved the valves immensely

Nicely made case cover. It did not fit my flute case ( too small) but in hindsight my flute case is a moulded plastic one and bigger than standard size cases it would seem. I'm sure that for a standard concert flute case it would fit just fine.
I decided to keep this item though as it is very well made. I now use it as a gig bag for my Irish wooden flute (individual sections wrapped in cloth) and there is plenty of storage room for cork grease pot, cleaning rod/cloth and three whistles !!! For this purpose it is perfect ! So happy customer here.

Excellent instrument, lovely sound although I have only been used to a student version tenor horn previously.
I have 1 major criticism as with all items purchased today, you do not receive sufficient information regarding your purchase, such as an owners manual.
