from 297 reviewsI play in a brass band in East Sussex alongside experienced players with higher end cornets who listen to, and look upon, this beautiful instrument with envy. I bought the lacquered version last year and it really does sound amazing. It gives a lovely, rich, mellow sound, and is relatively free blowing providing easy reach of upper register notes. The valves spring reassuringly quickly, and overall this is simply a brilliant instrument.
The title says it all really, a trumpet stand isn't a complicated thing but this one is very solid, well manufactured from good materials and works very well.
Easy to erect and fold - a bit on the heavy side - very stable.
Great service and quality products at a good price - Hope to deal with you again.
This replaced a standard metal one and is a whole lot better.
Pleased with it. More robust than other cheapis stands I've had.
Well made, good value and helpful retailer. Thank you.
THIS 62 WAS BOUGHT BY ME FROM ALICE AT JOHN PACKER AT THE END OF MAY THIS YEAR, JUST BEFORE I MADE THE DECISION TO STOP TOURING.I ONLY BLEW IT LONG ENOUGH TO WRITE MY REVIEW ON THE YAS-62 THAT YOU WILL SEE ON THE NEW 62.
HAVING GIVEN CAREFUL THOUGHT I DECIDED TO SELL IT AS I ALREADY HAVE ALL THE SAXES THAT HAVE BEEN WITH ME THROUGHOUT MY TOURING YEARS. IT'S AS I HAVE STATED IN THE TITLE AND USING WORDS FROM MY ORIGINAL REVIEW, IT'S ''AS NEW'' AND ''ALL YOU WILL EVER NEED''
My son has just started playing the flute and we got this flute rather than hiring one for him as it is so reasonably priced. His flute teacher says it has a lovely sound and we are very pleased with it
My new reed arrived promptly. I use legere exclusively; unlike cane, there are no duff ones. Neither is there any need to blow your face inside out for a week trying to get them into shape - they work perfectly as soon as I clamp them on.
Thought I would give this a try to add to my soprano, alto, tenor, C-melody and baritone collection. Needed to get a proper mouthpiece since the included plastic MP didn't inspire me. As a result still working at it. Seems reasonably well-built and not surprisngly will take a bit of time to get used to the close key pads compared to the other saxes. Very good value for money. Now need to see where I can work it into my jazz-workshop repertoire without anyone else noticing! Since I normally play alto that shouldn't be too difficult.... same music, just an octave up!
