This Howarth S5 oboe is ideal for the advanced player looking for a professional oboe with an excellent full tone.  It was made in Dec 1992 and is in excellent condition for its age.  The S5 is handmade and features the full gillet and thumplate keywork to complete diplomas, degrees and perform to the highest level.  This model has thick walls for a large and powerful sound.  The S5 has been discontinued but is most similar to the modern Howarth XL model.

Wear & Tear Observations: This oboe is in excellent condition.  There are no cracks or marks to the wooden body and the Howarth markings are fully visable. The silverplating is beautiful showing no signs of wear. This oboe has recently been fully serviced ready for sale.

This Howarth S5 comes in its good condition original hard clasped case with case cover and shoulder strap, also in good condition. There is also a pullthrough, screwdriver, grease pot and reed case included. I would recommend purchasing some new grease and reeds alongside this oboe.
