Please be aware that our normal warranty/guarantee cover does not apply to this instrument as it has been pre-owned by a client and sold by us on their behalf. Whilst we do all we can to ensure that they are working to the best of their ability, such goods are purchased as seen. However if the item is purchased online, the procedure is covered by our distant selling rules which can be found on the delivery/returns page.
This Hans Hoyer Horn has no model number but appears to be an early version of the 801, and is most likely mid 60s.
This horn would be perfect for a player looking for a full German-sounding horn, but with the added brightness brought about by the silverplate, which isn't seen as often on Horns.
Traditionally, silver Horns have been used for marching and playing outside, so this horn would be very much at home in those environments.
Wear & Tear Observations: This instrument is in good condition considering the age. The plating has worn off inside the bell, but is good elsewhere.
There are a number of small dents on the bell and bell flair, and one under the duckfoot.
There is scratching on the left side of the bell flair and leadpipe with a little plating wear, consistent with the instrument being left on a rough surface.
