This Howarth S2 oboe would be ideal for the advancing player looking for an instrument that can complete the grades and beyond. Howarth oboes display fine craftsmanship and are one of the first choice instruments for many oboeists.  

This model features a wooden body, semi automatic octaves, thumbplate system and is the predecessor to the current Howarth S20 model. This oboe was a custom order made in 1985 and has covered keys rather than the traditional ring keys seen on S2's.  This makes it very user friendly for players with smaller hands.

Wear & Tear Observations: This instrument is in very condition with no signs of cracks or repairs to the wooden body. There are just a couple of surface scratches visible.

The silverplated keywork is in good condition showing limited signs of wear.  This oboe has been serviced by our workshop in the last year and checked over ready for sale.

This Howarth S2 oboe comes in a Howarth hard case.  Also included is a reed case and cork grease. We would recommend purchasing a Kolbl pullthrough alongside this oboe.
