This Trumpet is a little piece of history. The Olds 'Standard' trumpet was known in it's time as just 'The Olds Trumpet' as it was their first standardised model. A lovely piece for a budding (or experienced) trumpet collector.

Wear & Tear Observations: Note, This instrument is sold as seen. This instrument is in a fair condition for an instrument that is over 90 years old.

There is around 90% lacquer loss, but no corrosion in the brass itself. There is a large historical repair in the bell of this trumpet, where the bell music have been servilely damaged, and has been re-shaped and the bell ring re-seamed.

The repair has been done very well, but unfortunately this has left the bell engraving very faded, and there is a very small split in the bell flair. As a result, the bell is also slightly smaller than it would have been originally.
