This Yanagisawa S901 Bb soprano saxophone is suitable for the advanced saxophonist looking for a high quality instrument.  

This 901 brass soprano has a one-piece body with a fixed neck and as such delivers a concise, clear tone across the range. The S901 is the predecessor to the current SW01 model but is still a very popular choice among advanced players because of the depth of sound and versatility it offers.  

This sax was made in the early 2000's and is in a fair condition cosmetically but plays beautifully.

Wear & Tear Observations: This sax is in a fair condition cosmetically, there are no signs of dents, just evidence of a repair to a minor bell flat. There is also some lacquerwear to the back thumb plate and octave key.  There are also a couple of very minor scratches to the back of the saxes body and G key pad cup and some pitting around the bell rim.  All of these things are cosmetic and don't effect the saxes playability.  This sax has recently had an full service completed by our workshop ready for sale.

This Yanagisawa S901 comes in its original hard leatherette case with a fair condition Yanagisawa ebonite 7 mouthpiece, BG super revelation ligature and cap. Some of the leatherette has worn at the corners exposing the inner case but it still functions well and protects the sax. There is also a  neck sling included.  We would recommend purchasing some reeds alongside this sax.
