• The Yamaha CSV has slightly smaller tonehole sizes, taper and undercuts than the SEV, resulting in a clearer, more focused sound with excellent projection. The sound is well-centred and extremely flexible, providing a wide pallet of tonal colours.

• A thick key plating means that the CSVR has rich expressive capabilities, particularly when played loudly.
• Durable leather pads are used for their rich tonal quality with the additional benefit of giving players a buzz-free playing experience.
• Attention to detail was paramount when re-designing the CSV and by making the C#/G# key 2mm longer, the touch and playability have been greatly improved.
• The traditional bell shape without a scallop chamber achieves a tone with superb presence and a focused core.
• An adjustable thumb rest with strap ring gives the option of wearing a sling and increased comfort.

The Yamaha CSVR is supplied in a compact hard case with a case cover and shoulder strap for ease of transportation. A Yamaha 4CM mouthpiece, cap, ligature and reed are also included along with cleaning materials such as a cleaning swab and polishing cloth.
